Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Answers to common questions about the Veritas & Sentinel platform.
This is an independent, non-partisan ecosystem designed to promote electoral integrity in Nigeria. It consists of two main parts: Project Veritas, which provides real-time, verifiable election results from every polling unit, and Project Sentinel, which provides real-time, verifiable incident reports from the field.
The system uses two separate, secure applications for two distinct, accredited groups:
- Election Results (Veritas): Submitted only by accredited Polling Unit Officers using the secure "Veritas Officer App".
- Incident Reports (Sentinel): Submitted only by accredited Party Agents using the secure "Sentinel Agent App".
Trust is built on verifiability. For every polling unit result, we provide a photograph of the official, signed Form EC8A from that location. You can compare the digital numbers directly against the physical document, which was signed by party agents. The results cannot be changed after submission.
This is a critical part of Project Sentinel's design. Every incident report submitted by an agent first enters a secure administrative review queue. A trained administrator reviews the description, watches the video or views the photo evidence, and checks the metadata (like GPS location). Only after a report is deemed credible and verified is it published to the Live Incident Map for the public to see. This prevents the platform from being used to spread misinformation.
The system is designed to maintain evidentiary integrity. Each report is a digital package containing the description, media evidence, the identity of the accredited agent, a precise timestamp, and the GPS coordinates of where the report was filed. This creates a strong chain of custody. While we believe this data is a powerful tool for accountability, the final decision on the admissibility of any evidence is always determined by a court of law.
Both the Veritas Officer App and the Sentinel Agent App are designed to be "offline-first". A user can enter all the required information and save the report or result securely on their device without an internet connection. The application will then automatically and securely sync the data to our servers in the background as soon as a stable internet connection is detected.
